You are what you eat.
When you eat badly, your skin is one of the first places it is noticed. You need to eat well to provide the necessary building blocks for proper collagen production, wrinkle prevention, moisture, and healthy glow. The foods that you eat are the very foundation for the health of your skin, giving it the necessary nutrients to fight of disease and signs of aging. Stress, a diet of processed foods, and the consumption of nutrient-poor foods will promote both disease and physical signs of aging.
Eat your fruits and vegetables. Veggies are full of nutrients like antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin E, beta-carotene, flavoroids and much more. Eat them in their natural state. Avoid cooking or frying them. The darker the colors, the more nutrients both fruits and vegetables have. Fruits are considered to be nature’s antioxidant powerhouses! Berries will help you to say goodbye to those pesky wrinkles. Papaya is known to smooth your skin both when you eat it and use it in a skin care product.
All sorts of beans provide fiber, magnesium and protein. The nutrients in beans help to neutralize the damaging compounds that harm and damage your skin and show the signs of aging.
Adding fish to your diet benefits your skin. Fish is a great source of two important types of fat, DHA and EPA.
Avoid sugar and processed foods. They increase the tendency of your skin to wrinkle as they form compounds that prevent your collagen from working correctly resulting in more wrinkles.
Drink a lot of water. Water is the best way to hydrate your skin.
