We all spend so much time worrying about what we’re going to eat for breakfast the next day, what we’re going to wear, what time we need to leave the house, how we look, how our hair looks, if our teeth have anything disgusting in them that someone else might not find so appealing to look at…
What we all forget to do is to take care of ourselves; to just slow down, take a breath, and live in the moment. Not in the past, not in the future, but right now, in this one second. Don’t worry about what you’re going to do in an hour, just be present to what you’re doing RIGHT NOW!
Don’t forget to take some time for you.
We all get caught up in work, in pleasing other people, and we forget to take some time to please ourselves. Give yourself some time, maybe going to the spa, going to the movie, having a meal out at a nice place, or a place you really love, and just take care of you.
You can’t spend every moment of every day fretting about things you really have no control over. If you’re in a rush to get somewhere, and your car breaks down, your outfit gets ruined, or something horrible happens to you, then you need to step back, and look at the whole picture. It might help to ask yourself how bad will this look tomorrow? Next week? Next year?
By putting even bad things into perspective, we can break that cycle of negativity and worry.
Maybe something is telling you that you need to take a break and spend some time with yourself, and slow down! If you can remember this, you will be a much happier person.
