Most of us do not have time or do not take the time to do an intensive skin care routine. To make life easier, here are some easy tips for better skin:
- Avoid being in the sun
- Always wear sunscreen and a hat
- Make sure your sunscreen has UVA and UVB protection with at least SPF30
- Check in with your Doctor for any Moles that may be concerning.
- Get a Body Scan done yearly for cancerous skin cells or moles.
Remove your makeup every night, and as our beauty tip this month states remove your make up before you go to the gym and wash again after you get done. Cleaning out those pours out is the best way to have clearer and healthier skin. Your pours act like a sponge, where the skin absorbs healthy products better when it is clean. Stay away from high-foaming cleansers, as they can strip the skin, leaving it tight and dry.
Look for products containing peptides, these are a chain of amino acids that are the building blocks of proteins in the skin. Peptides applied topically to the skin can send a signal to collagen to prompt the formation of new collagen which in take would remove wrinkles and thicken the skin a bit!Use skin care products that contain anti-inflammatory ingredients. This will help reduce chronic swelling and redness caused by sun damage and allergens. After washing always use a moisturizer. Dry and overly washed skin looks more aged and highlights any wrinkles. Moisturizers will help your skin by providing lipids, and protecting from external chemicals and weather. Only exfoliate twice a week, people tend to skip it or overdo it, this can cause dry skin also. Using a vitamin serum can help give the skin complete nutrition, it is non-irritating and formulated with vitamins A, B, C, D and E to give skin the nutrition it needs.
