Summer Hair Care Tips
Hydrate from the Inside, Out
It is important to keep your hair hydrated. Drink a lot of water, juice and even smoothies throughout the summer. Keep a water bottle nearby for quick accessibility. Lack of hydration may make your hair strands brittle and more prone to damage and frizz, so drink up!
Change Your Routine
In case, you are noticing split-ends, dry hair, or damaged hair, you need to change your hair care routine right away by doing these things:
-Use a hydrating shampoo and conditioner
-Apply hair oil at least once a week
-Apply a hair mask a few times per week
-Opt for good hair care treatment with your stylist
Just to name a few of our favorite products that we use daily on our clients to help with the frizz and dehydration is our:
-Onesta Nourishing Moisture Mask: It adds moisture without weighing your hair down. Argan oil and Hemp seed oil are a great addition to this product to help lock in hydration. It is to be used on damp towel dried hair.
-In Salon Hair treatments: We offer a few varieties of hair treatments that can be done right in the salon. It can be added on right to your current appointent or scheuduled for another time. The treatment provides you with a more intense conditioning treatment that you can get done at every appointment or every few weeks. The more you get it done, the more your hair will benefit from it. Turn Down the Heat
Avoid using a blow-dryer and flattening ironing your hair so much during the hot summer days. Too much heat will steal the moisture from your hair. Also make sure your heat setting on your flat iron and curling irons aren’t set too high. You’d be surprised what a difference that can make. The heat setting will differ for each individual depending on your hairs texture.
Other tips include:

Cover your hair
Whenever you go out try covering your hair with some type of protection. You can uses stylish scarfs for this purpose or a cute hat. This will protect your hair from the summer heat and sun. Also, protect your hair from chlorinated and salty water. Pre wetting your hair before entering any chlorine will help your hair not absorb as much of it. Rinsing hair right after and using a clarifying shampoo is very important and always make sure to use a nice leave in conditioner.
